Ka Huna Massage

Ka Huna (kahuna) massage, or more correctly Ka Huna Bodywork, originated in the South Pacific and is also known as
Hawaiian Temple Style Massage and Lomi Lomi.

It is a unique form of massage in which the practitioner uses their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table
using flowing hula and Tai Chi style movements.  It is a very effective relaxation massage, aimed at providing an holistic
approach to healing by combining physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.

The massage is not only an absolutely beautiful treatment to receive, it is also wonderful to watch should you ever have
the opportunity.

Cost; $85 for an hour;
$115 for an hour and a half

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy has been used all over the world throughout the ages in one form or another.  'Therapists'
have used 'rocks' ranging from coral pieces, lava stones, igneous rocks and the popular, smooth pebble (a dense,
fine-grained basalt, volcanic rock).

The use of heat retaining rocks, combined with massage creates a synergy all of its own.  Heat and massage can increase
the metabolic activity of the body's cells.  It can cause dilation of the capillaries and thereby increase the flow of nutrients
and oxygen to the cells and, similarly, the eradication of waste and toxins.

The combination of Ka Huna massage and hot stone therapy can be traced back hundreds of years.  The Hawaiian
Kahunas used stones wrapped in leaves, wood, sea shells and coral in their treatments, along with hot, flat pebbles.
This healing treatment was performed to restore balance to one's body, mind and soul.

This is truly a beautiful, relaxing, experience.
